Writer's Block: Get in my belly

What is your mother’s specialty dish? In other words, what food makes you salivate at the thought of it?

My mom makes a lot of foods I love. Her calzone is delicious as is her homemade roast. Her potato soup and chili is also yummy as well. I can say I love most of my mommy's cooking.

Writer's Block: Dynamite with a laser beam

What's your favorite line from a song, and why?

I actually have quite a few favorite lines.

"The world ain't fair, eat you if you let it." - Twisted Transistor by Korn. Self explanatory, very true lyric specially for my life right now.

"Know that it's true, that I was made for you." - The Story by Brandy something or another ( I listen to the cranius version). Just because I'm a sap and love my man...

"And you can have this heart to break. " - And So it Goes by Billy Joel. I named a story after the song in high school. I love the whole song. Again with the sappiness.

"Take my hand, we'll make it, I swear." - Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. Things have been hard for my fiance and I... I really like this part cuz that's just what we keep doing.

"Vindicated, I am selfish, I am wrong, I am right. I swear I'm right, swear I knew it all along. And I am flawed but I am cleaning up so well. I am seeing in me now the things you swore, you saw yourself." - Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional. A lyric I use for myself... I feel it represents me sometimes.

"I only wish you weren't my friend, then I could hurt you in the end." - Snuff by Slipknot. Rough times in a relationship made me love this lyric and song.

"Remember when I moved in you, the holy dark was moving too. And every breath we drew was hallelujah." - Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright. Remembering my first time. Was special...

"I'm not gonna lie, I'll not be a gentleman." - Possum Kingdom by The Toadies. Just a really effing sexy line :D

"I've lived the best I can." - Alone I break by Korn. My favorite song... self explanatory really.

I could keep going on and on. I REALLY love listening to music to help with my moods and when I draw. X3 I may add to this later but this is good for now.

(IMPORTANT!) Need Ideas!!

Ok so I want to get some cheap food ideas. I want you guys to help me think of some good, cheap, food that you can feed 6 people with. Has to be something easily found. We've got a lot of ramen and mac n cheese so that's out.
So far I've got:
Frozen Pizza

My life just keeps getting suckier. Yeah that job I talked about? Sucks major ass. I hate it and it's only been 2 days. I'm already searching for a new job and they're still just training me. I cried at work today because it's so crappy. I clean up crap and blood and stuff and its just exhausting. It's just too much...
Plus now my bank is in the red... again. Cuz I needed shoes for work... luckily they're sneakers so I'll be able to wear them if/when I do quit. I'm not quitting until I get a new job which will be god knows when.

Doggy Cake Recipe

Ok this is transferred from Pupsnacks by Stephanie Mehanna, a doggy cook book.

 12 portions
Prep time:
40 minutes
Cooking time:
 30-35 minutes
1lb. (500g) chicken/lamb or beef liver
1/2 pint (300ml) semi skimmed milk
1lb (500g) wheat and gluten free flour
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 eggs
2 tablespoons dried parsley

(filling and frosting)
1lb (500g) low-fat cream cheese
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
3 slices unsmoked bacon slices grilled (or baked) and chopped

(to decorate) any favorite treats :)

1a. Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C)

1b. Liquidize the liver and milk in a blender or food processor until smooth. Mix the flour, oil, eggs, and parsley together in a mixing bowl. Fold the liver puree into the mixture and stir until it forms a smooth paste.

2. Grease two deep 8-inch (20-cm) cake tins. Divide the liver mixture equally between the tins and bake on the middle shelf of a preheated oven. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Test to see if it's cooked by inserting a knife in the center of the cake. If the knife comes out clean the cake is cooked. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

3. To make the frosting, beat the cream cheese,  oil and honey together until fluffy. Place one of the cake halves upside down on a serving plate. Spread a scant half of the frosting on top and sprinkle with the chopped bacon. Place second half on top of the filling, then spread the remaining frosting over the cake with a spatula.

4. Decorate with your pets favorite treats, if desired. Store leftover cake in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Hope this helps some people! My dogs loved this cake!

Just so ya'll know. Most of my stuff is friends only because most of the people I rant about are technology savy and I don't want them finding out about my rants. This is my last safe place. XD

Writer's Block: Three-day weekend

Do you prefer to spend a three-day weekend chilling at home or hitting the road?
I would rather be out right now, enjoying this holiday but my fiance is gone for the weekend to help his grandfather... So I'm stuck at home. blah

Writer's Block: Worrisome

What is your biggest worry right now?
My life. I wonder where its going to go after this roller coaster of living here in VA. My life pretty much sucks right now and I just pray it'll get better.
